From July 1 to 3, year 2012 in the Kazakh capital of Astana will be held the 3rd annual ASTANA International Action Film Festival, organized by Timur Bekmambetov.

The festival takes place on the eve of the capital of Kazakhstan’s anniversary. Organizers will give Kazakhstanis a true celebration of film, which will bring together in Astana international cinema stars, famous actors, directors, artists, producers and potential investors. The Film Festival is a perfect occasion to show Festival guests the dynamic capital of Kazakhstan, while at the same time presenting the best action films. Action films are today among the most popular worldwide.

The official festival program includes over 20 non-competing full-length feature films made in the USA, Europe, Asia, and the CIS. For three days viewers will be able to see popular movies, visit the pre-premiere screenings of the new films of the year.

Opening ceremony of the Festival will be held at The Palace of Peace and Concord.
